Download and install TaxWare
Here you will find the installation files, system requirements and guides for TaxWare. You can install TaxWare locally on a Windows device or centrally within your IT environment using Terminal Services. The quick guide outlines the main installation steps.
Quick guide: Install TaxWare
- Check the system requirements: Technical Requirements TaxWare.pdf
- Make sure that Microsoft .NET Framework, version 4.8 or higher, is installed on your system
- Use the installation file: https://update.taxware.ch/Installer/TaxWareSetup.exe
- If you need an MSI, e.g. for integration in GPO, download the desired version:
– For 64-bit systems
– For 32-bit systems
- To ensure that the TaxAnalyzer add-in works properly in Excel, the TaxWare installation directory must be classified as trustworthy. This can be set centrally via the operating system or individually in Excel. The instructions for the setting in Excel can be found in the FAQ document: FAQ
- Run the installation file using a user account with administrator rights.

Manage user settings centrally
With Shared Settings, most user settings can be defined company-wide. This requires an XML file, which can be stored in a location of your choice.
